How to find us
The Hotel Urku is located in the centre of Kangasala at the address Kangasalantie 1108. The hotel is an old redbrick organ factory building. A parking area is located at the end of the hotel. Opposite the hotel is the Kirkkoharju School. During the summer and on weekends, our hotel guests can also use the school’s parking area.
From Tampere 17 km / 15 min
- Drive along state highway 12 towards Lahti
- When you have driven from Tampere towards Lahti for about 18 km exit on the ramp leading to the centre of Kangasala
- Drive straight ahead 200 m until you come to the traffic lights, turn left at the lights; the Kangasala Church will be on your left side
- Drive about 400 m, the Hotel Urku is on the left side of the road
From Tampere-Pirkkala airport 29 km / 21 min
- Exiting the airport, drive towards Tampere
- Continue on the motorway in the Jyväskylä direction
- Go up the ramp towards Lahti on state highway 12
- Continue towards Lahti for about 18 km; exit on the ramp leading to the centre of Kangasala
- Drive straight ahead 200 m until you come to the traffic lights, turn left at the lights; the Kangasala Church will be on your left side
- Drive about 400 m, the Hotel Urku is on the left side of the road
From Helsinki 170 km / 1 h 45 min
- Drive along state highway 3 towards Hämeenlinna
- From Hämeenlinna turn at the Hattula - Pälkäne intersection onto highway 57
- As you approach Pälkäne your will come to a T-intersection; turn left towards Tampere on state highway 12
- After driving 25 km from Pälkäne you will reach Kangasala, exit on the ramp leading to the centre of Kangasala
- Drive straight ahead 200 m until you come to the traffic lights, turn left at the lights; the Kangasala Church will be on your left side
- Drive about 400 m, the Hotel Urku is on the left side of the road
From Turku 170 km / 2 h
- Drive along state highway 9 towards Tampere
- As you approach Tampere continue on the motorway in the Jyväskylä direction
- Go up the ramp at towards Lahti to state highway 12
- Continue towards Lahti about 18 km; exit on the ramp leading to the centre of Kangasala
- Drive straight ahead 200 m until you come to the traffic lights, turn left at the lights; the Kangasala Church will be on your left side
- Drive about 400 m, the Hotel Urku is on the left side of the road
From Lahti 110 km / 1 h 15 min
- Drive along state highway 12 towards Tampere
- Exit on the ramp leading to the centre of Kangasala
- Drive straight ahead 200 m until you come to the traffic lights, turn left at the lights; the Kangasala Church will be on your left side
- Drive about 400 m, the Hotel Urku is on the left side of the road
From Jyväskylä 145km / 1 h 40 min
- Drive along state highway 9 towards Tampere
- About 15 km before Tampere turn left off the motorway onto Korvenperäntie, road no. 3403 towards Kangasala, the road sign reads: Kangasala, Suinula
- Follow the signs to Kangasala, after about 9 km you will come to the centre of Kangasala and a traffic light intersection
- Turn right at the lights; the Kangasala Church will be on your left side
- Drive about 400 m, the Hotel Urku is on the left side of the road
From Vaasa 265 km / 3 h
- Drive along state highway 3 (E12) towards Tampere
- When you reach Tampere, stay on the shore road (Paasikiven tie); drive past Särkänniemi for about 2 km
- Turn onto state highway 12 in the Lahti direction
- After driving from Tampere towards Lahti for about 18 km, exit on the ramp leading to the centre of Kangasala
- Drive straight ahead 200 m until you come to the traffic lights, turn left at the lights; the Kangasala Church will be on your left side
- Drive about 400 m, the Hotel Urku is on the left side of the road
